A FILM about the struggles of a single dad amidst the launch of the Child Support Agency (CSA) received a great reaction when it was premiered at Bromsgrove’s Artrix.
Father’s Daze, filmed in south Birmingham and Redditch, was inspired by true events and centres on a newly-single freelance wedding photographer who has just become the sole breadwinner for his three children in 1994 when the CSA was introduced.
Brian Becker directed the film which mixes humorous flashes with the serious subject matter to give it a more engaging feel.
Almost 200 people attended the premiere.
Brian said: “It was great to hear the spontaneous applause at the end.
“Many people praised it for how engaging the story was right from the start and the emotional highs and lows which I feel were so effectively portrayed by the main actors.”
