DogFest returns to Ragley Hall this week

Redditch Editorial 22nd May, 2024   0

TWO days of ‘paw-some’ fun for owners and their pooches is set to return to Ragley Hall this weekend.

The ultimate dog-friendly festival, set in grounds of the estate of the Marquess of Hertford, will be celebrating its tenth birthday with the usual non-stop doggy entertainment.

Attractions include world-class displays from top canine athletes, free advice and workshops plus plenty of have-a-go activities.

Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity, will be returning this year with its Dogs Trust Village and will be welcoming dog lovers, owners and their pooches to take part in lots of dog-friendly pursuits.

Visitors will be able to have virtual reality tours of its rehoming centres and take their furry friends around a ‘sniffari’ enrichment garden.

Shauna Stedman, regional supporter relations manager at Dogs Trust, said: “We’re delighted to be back at DogFest this year, to meet dog lovers and their canine companions at this fantastic event.

“This is the fourth year running we’ve been a charity partner, with one of the highlights being to see so many former Dogs Trust residents and find out how well they’ve settled into their forever homes.

“Festival goers can visit our enrichment garden to keep their pooch happy and entertained, or have a go on our popular ‘Wheel of Pawtune’.

“Our dog school behaviour training experts will also be on hand with training and advice. Plus, if owners have their dog with them, they can get some initial guidance there and then.”

As well as having a virtual look around its local rehoming centres, visitors can learn about some of the dogs at its Evesham centre who are waiting for their forever homes.

The Dogs Trust team will also be on hand to answer any questions about the adoption process, along with information about its other services.

Visitors can get 20 per cent off tickets when bought through the Dog Trust website with a further further 15 per cent of the paid price going to the charity. Terms and conditions apply.
