DON’T bin it – repair it! – that’s the message as Redditch’s Repair Cafe once again opens its doors this Saturday, November 12.
Members of the public are invited to bring in goods that are no longer working – from computers to kitchen gadgets, TVs, even furniture, radios and stereos – where a team of repairers from Men in Sheds will repair them free.
They’ll even fix clothes and sharpen tools. Their success rate is high, there’s a cafe on site, and people can, but are not obliged, to make a donation for a job well done.
It’s all happening at IDS at Britten House on Britten Street off Bromsgrove Road in the town centre from 10am to 2pm.
“it’s great when local people come together to help improve our environment and Repair Cafe is a really good example of this which ticks all the boxes,” said Councillor Debbie Chance whose portfolio covers environmental services.
