REDDITCH MP Rachel Maclean has asked Prime Minister Boris Johnson to add the Alexandra Hospital and Worcestershire Royal to ‘his list of 20 hospitals to upgrade’.
The move came after the PM, in his first speech on the steps of 10 Downing Street on Wednesday, July 24, announced plans to upgrade 20 hospitals across the country.
The following day Mrs Maclean used her first question to Mr Johnson to press him on the Alex.
“I started as I mean to go on by ensuring our new Prime Minister is aware that the Alex hospital is a top priority for me, but also a top priority for the people of Redditch,” she said.
“The Alex and the Worcestershire Royal must be number one and number two on the Prime Minister’s list of hospital upgrades.”
