Don't leave dash cams or SatNavs in cars over night - Redditch police plea

POLICE in Redditch have issued an alert after a spate of thefts from vehicles in Church Hill.

Sergeant Mandy Partridge said: “We are experiencing a significant spike in reports of theft from motor vehicles in the Church Hill area of Redditch.

“The majority of incidents are occurring overnight and involve windows being smashed, and valuables being taken, in particular dash cams, satnavs and/or tools.

“Police are taking proactive steps to ascertain who is responsible and would appeal to anyone who has any evidence or information that may assist, to contact Church Hill Safer Neighbourhood Team.




“Please reduce the risk to your vehicle by removing valuables from view and ensuring that they are locked and secure.”

She says that to report a crime in progress dial 999, to report suspicious circumstances related to these incidents contact West Mercia Police on 101 and ask to speak to a member of the Church Hill Safer Neighbourhood Team.
