Driver confirmed dead at the scene after crash in Redditch on Saturday

THE driver of a car was confirmed dead at the scene after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a bridge near Dixon Close, Enfield, Redditch.

The incident happened around 11.30pm on Saturday night, April 7 and one ambulance, a paramedic officer and a medical Emergency Response Incident Team (MERIT) trauma doctor attended the scene.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find the driver of the car, a man, in cardiac arrest.

“Ambulance staff began CPR and administered advanced life support but unfortunately, it became apparent that nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
