THE Duck has launched its very own family festival for motorbike lovers.
Organised in conjunction with The Royal Enfield Owners Club, the event is scheduled for the August Bank Holiday Weekend – Saturday and Sunday, August 27-28.
The Duck Inn has already made connections with various local bike groups since opening under new management in March 2020 and motorcycle enthusiasts will be welcome to bring along their bikes too.
Publican Vicki Gaffey says “It’s just a great relief we can start to have some normality back after all the Covid lockdowns and restrictions.
“I can now start hosting the live music and events I planned for The Duck Inn plus I must say the support me and the team have had from the public during this time has been fantastic.”
BikeFest activities will include:
Royal Enfield Owners Club with a range of classic motorcycles displayed on both days.
Face painting for all on both days when wristbands are bought from the pub.
Open Mic / jam session in the garden for musicians to take part and for everyone to enjoy on Sunday afternoon.
Rodeo Bull competition to see who can stay on the longest on the Saturday afternoon.
Live music on Saturday evening with English Electric Lightening playing classic rock and Blues.
Live music on Sunday evening with Dizzy Lizzy, able to play the hits of 70s Irish rockers ‘Thin Lizzy’ with an uncanny ease.
