Eager Beavers get first badges

Redditch Editorial 7th Nov, 2014 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

YOUNGSTERS learned about dangers in the home and how to respond to accidents thanks to the Redditch First Responders.

The volunteers, who support the emergency services, visited members of the 1st Matchborough, 1st Crabbs Cross and 11th Redditch Rowan Beavers to help them get their first stage emergency aid badge.

As well as learning how to apply bandages and give CPR, the children were shown the First Response car and learned more about the team’s role in the community.

Rowan Beavers scout leader Lesley Spencer said: “The team were brilliant with the Beavers, the children worked so hard and we are very proud of them all. I would like to thank Dave and the team for giving up their time to help.”
