Redditch Editorial 26th Feb, 2024   0

IT WILL be full steam ahead for the Redditch Model Railway Show in March rather than the normal September date.

Redditch Model Railway Club will be staging its 51st Model Railway Exhibition on March 2 and 3 at Trinity High School, Grove Street, in Redditch town centre.

The opening times are 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am until 4.30pm on Sunday.

More than 30 stands will be on display including high quality layouts of different sized model railways in gauges from N to O from all over the country.

Layouts on show will include the club’s award-winning exhibition layout Arrowmouth which took over five years to build and has been a hit with visitors wherever it has been exhibited.

Other well-known layouts on display will include Abbotswood and Norton Junction, Gracetown Bank, Lapping Works, and Temple Bridge Quote.

Exhibition manager Guy Craddock said: “This will be the 51st Redditch Model Railway Exhibition which has come a long way since the first in 1967 and each year the event is proving to be very popular with visitors who travel from all over the country to the show.

“We hope by moving back to earlier in the year after a 20-year gap, many more will visit this year’s show to help make the event even better.”

Under 16s can attend the event for free, with tickets priced at £6.
