A 71 year-old man who fell from the roof and through a skylight of a property in Redditch has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham.
The man, who fell through a skylight, hitting a water butt on the way down before landing on a concrete floor yesterday (Tuesday, November 1), called an ambulance for himself at around 4.30pm.
On arrival, paramedics decided that specialist pain relief was required for the man who had sustained head and rib injuries and requested an air ambulance to attend.
The helicopter landed on the school fields and specialist pain relief was given, before the gentleman, who was unable to lie down flat due to his injuries, was taken by road to the Birmingham hospital.
