Enjoy yacht racing without getting your feet wet at Arrow Valley Lake

Ross Crawford 16th Aug, 2019 Updated: 16th Aug, 2019

IT needn’t cost a fortune to enjoy a life on the ocean waves as radio controlled sailing makes a return to Redditch’s Arrow Valley Lake.

These ships are the real thing, with scaled down sails, hull and keel, but still capable of crossing the water.

You don’t have to get your feet wet either as thanks to the wonders of radio waves, they’re controlled from the comfort of dry land.

This event, in conjunction with Worcester Model Boat Club, Rubicon Leisure and Redditch Borough Council, will be launched on Sunday, September 1 from 11am to 3pm and will feature a display of radio sailing.

The event is open to all and free of charge.
