STAFF at a Redditch hotel which played host to teams of television crews earlier in the year are awaiting the airing of an episode of Doctors this month.
The television crews spent a whole day filming at Southcrest Manor Hotel for one episode of the popular soap and staff at the luxury hotel and spa are looking forward to seeing their facilities showcased on the BBC on April 13.
Maxine Napolitano, Business Development Manager at the hotel, said: “It was quite exciting have the crew filming with us here at the hotel and interesting to see all the work that goes into one episode.
“They used the whole of the hotel throughout the day – the spa, the conservatory dinning room and the grounds – but they were very helpful and very accommodating to our guests.
“It was a real pleasure to welcome them and we’re looking forward to seeing it air on television ext week.”
The hotel’s very own receptionist even got a cameo role in the process, checking in the actors to the hotel in one of the scenes.
The episode featuring the hotel is number 186 for the show, which has been running since the year 2000.
