Family fun day returns to Alcester after three years

THE Alcester Court Leet family fun day made a welcome return last Saturday, September 3.

The fete was designed to provide children with some entertainment before school starts again after the summer holidays.

Organised by the Court’s constable and marshal, the event attracted a fair crowd of more than 200 people.

Rides on the jouster horse, appearances by Mickey and Minnie mouse, archery, a tombola and an egg throwing contest were among the activities.

Marc Venables. Alcester Court Leet’s Low Bailiff, said: “It was a bit daunting bringing back the event after a three-year hiatus due to Covid, but the folk came out and had a wonderful afternoon.”
