Feckenham Parish council hold drop-in meeting for controversial battery storage plans

Redditch Editorial 15th Aug, 2023 Updated: 15th Aug, 2023   0

FECKENHAM Parish Council are holding a drop-in meeting to discuss the proposed plans for a battery energy storage system in the village.

The session is a chance for residents to ask questions and hear more about the plans.

In June plans were submitted to Redditch Borough council by Immersa for a battery energy storage compound on land on Astwood Lane.

This is the fourth Battery Electrical Storage System (BESS) planning application for Feckenham.

Feckenham Parish Council have objected to the storage compound, as it fears it will become the next step in a massive cumulative industrial development within protected Green Belt agricultural land.

There will be parish councillors available to answer resident questions at the meeting at 7.30pm this evening at Feckenham Village Hall.
