A CRACKING time was had by all when civic leaders joined with former Mayor Madge Tillsley for her Sunset Club Christmas party in Redditch town hall.
The Sunset Club organises social events and days out for the town’s senior citizens and Madge has been at the heart of the operation for decades making sure everyone has a great time.
With music supplied by local skiffle king John Dale, who played a selection of timeless classics, the emphasis was very much on enjoyment.
“Thanks to the support of so many people we are able to put on this Christmas party and their help is very much appreciated,” said Madge.
Borough Mayor Councillor Joe Baker added: “It’s lovely to be involved and to support Madge and the Sunset Club as this is a fantastic event and it’s nice to get in the spirit of Christmas and support the more senior citizens in our community.”
