Fire crews called after arsonists set tarpaulin alight in Redditch

Redditch Editorial 24th Apr, 2017   0

EMERGENCY services were called to a blaze in Redditch last weekend where vandals had set fire to a large tarpaulin.

Between 6.30pm and 6.48pm on Sunday (April 23) police and two fire crews attended the scene on Washford Lane where arsonists had set fire to a tarpaulin covering a digger.

Despite two fire crews from Redditch extinguishing the blaze using backpacks, the windows of the digger were still fire damaged.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious can contact police on 101, quoting reference 0582s230417.
