FIREWORKS lit up the skies once more during December as the picturesque market town of Alcester hosted its annual St Nicholas Night festival.
The community event is held to mark the feast day of Saint Nicholas and features stalls, live music, street food and Santa’s Grotto.
More than £1,000 was raised for local charities by members of the St Nicholas’ Association, who held the event.
A parade featuring vintage cars and the crowning of Alcester’s new Boy Bishop took over the High Street.
Finally the event reached its climax when a firework display occurred near St Nicholas Church.
