YOUNGSTERS at Woodfield Academy have created new homes for wildlife in the school grounds.
As part of an ongoing programme of making the grounds wildlife friendly, pupils in Year 5 and 6 spent the day recently building a ‘Bug Hotel’ and willow dome and are now looking forward to the hotel being populated with mini guests.
Teacher Mrs Clare Taylor said: “This is part of our ‘Give Nature a Home’ project and is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to expand their science learning outside the classroom.”
