FIVE vehicles were seized and taken off the roads last week during a police traffic operation.
On Tuesday (February 2), the Greenlands and Lodge Park teamed up with the Force Ops Tasking team in helping to clear Redditch roads of numerous vehicles who’s drivers were committing a variety of traffic offences.
With the help of the Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT), which was stationed in two static holding sites, three police motorbikes and two unmarked vehicles, the teams pulled in more than 20 vehicles.
The offences recorded included the drivers using a mobile telephone, not wearing a seatbelt and having no tax, MOT or insurance on the vehicle.
In three instances the team found motorists who were driving without a licence.
During the operation, four cars and one van were seized.
