Flipping awesome Pancake Day planned in Redditch

FAMILIES in Redditch can enjoy a a fun-filled pancake day.

Charity Act on Energy has partnered with Reach CIC to host a free and fun pancake day event, including a scavenger hunt and traditional races.

The scavenger hunt will be led by local YouTube star Roy Edwards who will also host families to prepare and cook their own pancakes with prizes for the pancakes that look the best.

Reach CIC is also opening its toy cupboard, there will be crafts and games to enjoy, a selection of free books and, of course, lots of pancakes to eat.

In addition to helping families crack eggs and whisk flour, Act on Energy will be on hand to offer support and advice on energy bills and debt, as well as top tips on how to keep your home warmer this winter.

Rachel Jones, CEO of Act on Energy, said: “We’re delighted to be joining Reach for this year’s fun-filled pancake event. It’s a great way for the local community to come together to cook and have fun – and grab some energy efficient tips at the same time.

“We’re more than happy to support bill-payers with their energy concerns.

“We can help with the Worcestershire Household Support Fund and even discuss energy efficiency grants and funding.”

The event starts at 10.30am and runs until 2pm at the Link, Unit 18 Winyates Centre, on Tuesday February 17.
