ALCESTER’s annual pancake races are set to take place on Tuesday, February 17, featuring a range of races for young and old.
Organised by the town’s court leet, the traditional Shrove Tuesday event is free to enter and promises to provide plenty of entertainment for spectators and competitors alike.
The flipping competition starts at 11.30am in High Street and the various races include categories for children, adults, businesses, people with disabilities, plus the hotly competitive pub relay.
There are certificates for first, second and third places and chocolate eggs for all children who compete.
