On Friday morning, officers executed warrants in the West Midlands area following intelligence work.

Three people were arrested – a man, 19, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and a man, 25, and a woman, 38, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three have since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Last Wednesday (April 3) a woman, 25, was arrested at an address in Redditch on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has been bailed pending further enquiries.

These latest arrests follow the arrest of a 33-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder on March 26.

Two further people were arrested the same day. A man, 48, was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and a woman, 20, was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. All three have been released on bail while enquiries continue.

Det Insp Warren Matthews, from North Worcestershire CID, said: “Although seven suspects have now been arrested in connection with the incident we continue to appeal for witnesses and ask anyone who saw the incident or who has doorbell/CCTV footage to come forward.”
