FOUR new independents businesses have opened at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch – Maya Gifts, Country Master Barbers, Top Box studios and Art is ar’t gallery – as well as traders as part of the temporary indoor market.
The centre has recently become the temporary accommodation for local valued independent traders.
Located on Kingfisher Walk near Poundland, the indoor market includes a number of regular traders such as a fruit and vegetable stand, florist and mobile phone repairs.
Kingfisher guests can now also enjoy the convenience of having a barbers at the centre.
Priding themselves in the finest work from old school cuts to modern day fades, Country Master Barbers is now open in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre (next to Subway) for both appointments and walk-ins.
Maya Gifts, a fusion of three independent, local businesses offering a wide variety of innovative items including handcrafted jewellery and ethically sourced clothing can now be found on the ground floor.
Kingfisher is also proud to welcome art is ar’t, a new fine art gallery showcasing the works of both international and local artists.
Ken Williams, general manager, said: “It’s been a tough year for all high street retail and leisure businesses, so we are delighted to welcome four new additions to the centre which we are sure will be big hits amongst our guests.
“It’s fantastic to have more independents on-board which is a testament to Kingfisher Shopping Centre and the wider Redditch town centre.
“We hope by working together we can continue providing the community with a wide variety of products and services to choose from.”
Joining the new independents is Top Box Studios, a creative arts production company offering youth theatre workshops, private singing tuition, recording studio packages and much more.
