FOUR worthy winners have been crowned the stars of the show in this year’s Redditch Has Talent competition.
Last Thursday (June 29), the stage of the Palace Theatre was filled with an array of talent as the contestants battled it out to be become heat winners in the four age group categories – 10 to 13, 13 to 16, 16 to 18 and 19+.
In the end the 10 to 13 age group was won by Megan Russell and Daisy Empson – a dynamic dance duo who worked plenty of cartwheels, tumbles and lifts into their routine. The sparkling pair used the entire stage with energy and enthusiasm to light up the room.
The 14 to 16 age group winner Caitlin Speirs, UK and International Skipper, performed some very fast and complex moves using three different skipping ropes. Her routine involved a complex combination of speed and twists with rope intertwined and wound round her body and legs, leaving both her – and the audience- breathless.
The 16 to 18 age group winner was singer Ben Adams, who’s big voice was a clear favourite with both the audience and the judges.
In the 19+ age group singer Dan Sun stole the show with his hair-brained, multi-faceted performance. With several costume changes, Dan’s performance was a firm favourite.
The winners trophies, along with Certificates and £25 worth of Theatre Vouchers, were presented this year by Councillor Gareth Prosser.
