CYCLISTS can get their bikes security marked and registered in Redditch on Saturday, August 1.
An event organised by Redditch Police safer neighbourhood team will run from 1.30pm to 3pm outside Three Cooks in the town centre.
Bike marking is a simple way for riders to protect bikes. If they are stolen, having them registered on BikeRegister – the UK’s national bicycle database – will make them easier to find and recover.
Officers will provide bicycle security advice, answer policing questions and chat about community safety on the day.
Redditch Police said: “Whether you’re a regular cyclist or your bike is only used occasionally, it’s worth taking a few minutes to help keep it safe. No [event] booking is required – just bring your bike and see us on the day.
“We look forward to seeing you there.”
