PARENTS and carers looking to keep the little ones busy and support a local good cause are invited to Arrow Valley Lake this weekend.
Rob and Maggie Underwood, of Charlotte and Craig Saving Hearts Foundation (CCSHF) are welcoming people to their Biggest Kids Party Ever.
The free family event this Saturday (July 15) will run from 12noon until 5pm at the Arrow Valley Lake, with bouncy castles, face-painting, glitter tattoos, fair rides, hair braiding and food treats on offer. There will also be fun and games and entertainment from Dave’s Roadshow and even go-karts to try out.
Members of the police, fire crews and the Midlands Freewheelers, a voluntary organisation set up to provide an out-of-hours and emergency travel service to NHS hospitals will also be there.
As well as fun and games, there will be defibrillator and CPR demonstrations, meaning families can take home a new skill from the day too.
There is no entrance fee, but some extra charges may apply. All money donated will support the CCSHF which was set up by Rob and Maggie in 2011 to provide the local community with defibrillators
