GIFTS including clothes, toys and household items are being given away for free at Inspire Comunity Training CIC.
The community interest company has set up a ‘gifting table’ outside the Winyates Craft Centre which is brimming with special items for people to grab.
Inspire manager Karen Butler came up with the idea after having surplus items left over from a recent auction.
“But now the gifting table is a permanent feature at Inspire,” said Karen.
“It’s right by the bus stop, so people can hop off and take whatever they want for free.
“People have also been adding things to the table which has been lovely to see.”
Items include bric-a-brac, tables, toys, books, shoes, coats and more.
It has enticed more people to visit Inspire’s zero waste shop too, which helps fund the group’s mental health work.
“We are an eco centre so there’s nothing better than seeing people reuse things,” added Karen.
“Charity shops are fantastic but for some people, especially at the moment, they don’t have any money to spend.”
