Free street theatre coming to Wythall tomorrow

Tristan Harris 25th Jul, 2018   0

THERE will be free Street Theatre in Wythall tomorrow, writes Charlotte Ingleby.

The Stupid Stunt Show and Bruce Airhead will be at Wythall Park during the event which runs from 11am to 3pm in Wythall Park.

Visitors are welcome to bring chairs, tables and picnics to enjoy during the show which is being held as part of Bromsgrove District Council’s Street Theatre programme.

In the Stupid Stunt Show Dan runs the gauntlet of Punch Alley, attempts the Melon Catch of Death, performs the legendary Child Juggling routine and flies through a ring of flames (yes, they are real). Will one of the young audience members be brave enough to take up the challenge of the Moneybox of Doom?

Bruce Airhead, with the help of a 6ft balloon which he inflates with the help of a volunteer a voice-activated vacuum cleaner. Then to the crowd’s disbelief, wearing only brightly coloured lycra shorts and choreographed to music, Bruce slides his toned Australian physique completely inside the balloon.

Coun Peter Whittaker, whose portfolio covers leisure services, said: “Street Theatre gets more popular each year and the acts look set to wow the crowds with daredevil tricks, magic and plenty of comedy.”

All events will also have fun children’s activities to enjoy.
