FOUNDERS of a brand new group dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Redditch Nightstop are looking for volunteers to join them.
The Friends of Redditch Nightstop are a voluntary organisation who aim to support the charity which provides emergency accommodation and other support services for 16-25 year-olds facing homelessness.
The ‘Friends’ will have the opportunity to assist Nightstop in its fund raising and public awareness programme and those with specialists skills relating to Nightstop’s work may be invited to support the staff on a voluntary basis.
Susan Sadler, project manager of Nightstop, which is based in the Ecumenical Centre, said: “Staff at Nightstop work so hard to provide this much-needed service to youngsters facing living on the streets, so having a group of ‘Friends’ to aid us with fundraising and public awareness will make a huge difference to us and the people we support.
“Anyone interested in becoming a Friend should get in touch straight away – we would love to hear from you.”
Membership is open to all and being central to Redditch is not a requirement as regular newsletters will be issued to all Friends.
While supporting Nightstop, Friends will not be involved in the day-to-day running of the organisation unless individuals specifically request to do so.
Prospective members, who must be over the age of 18, are invited to complete a form to request further information.
