Frozen characters bring in crowds

CHARACTERS from smash-hit Disney film Frozen entertained a packed audience in the town centre.

Around 800 people watched performances by Anna, Elsa and Olaf on Saturday (December 6).

General manager Ken Williams said: “We know Frozen has been a very popular film and decided having Anna, Elsa and Olaf visit would be a perfect way to celebrate Christmas with our customers. It was great to see everyone having such a great time throughout both performances.”

The event forms part of five weeks of festive activities throughout December, organised by the centre, Redditch Borough Council and the Town Centre Partnership to mark Christmas.

The programme continues tomorrow and Sunday (December 13 and 14) when a festive craft fair will be held within the centre.

Volunteers from the Primrose Hospice will also be wrapping presents in Worcester Square every day from tomorrow until Christmas Eve in return for a donation of £1 per present to help support the services it provides to people with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
