SHOPPERS can go bananas for free fruit as the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch kicks off its health and fitness campaign with a giveaway.
Following the success of last year’s Health and Wellbeing week, visitors are once again invited to claim their free piece of fruit from the Centre’s Customer Service Desk in Worcester Square from today (Monday, February 6) until Sunday (February 12)
Community groups will be taking to the square over the forthcoming week to promote healthy living and keeping fit, both physically and mentally.
Organisations including Age UK, Stroke Association, Café Nutrino, Community First, Boots Opticians, Reach CIC and Health Watch Worcestershire will be offering free advice to shoppers in their relevant areas of expertise.
Representatives from Pure Gym will be in Worcester Square giving gym demonstrations and recruitment drives throughout the week, whilst Indigo Arts will be putting on a performance on Saturday (February 11)
Ken Williams, General Manager at Kingfisher Shopping Centre, said: “This February we’re bringing wellbeing to the forefront of our centre activity to help shoppers stick to the new healthy regimes they started in January.
“Last year’s Health and Wellbeing activity was a huge success and we have lots of different retailers at the Centre who can help locals towards achieving a healthier lifestyle – this campaign will show shoppers just some of what we have to offer to help them do just that.”
