A FUNDRAISER has been set up to help a Redditch family in need after their house burnt down.
On Tuesday July 29, a fire started at the families home on Mason Road.
The blaze encompassed the whole house and the family were left with just the clothes on their back.
Mariola Bakalar has set up the fundraiser to help her sister, Beata Jurkowski, her niece Aurelia and brother-in-law Marek rebuild their lives after their loss.
She said: “I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a deep hope for kindness and support
“My family lost everything in a house fire. In minutes, a place filled with memories, love, and comfort turned into ashes. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely – but they walked away with nothing.
“No home. No belongings. Just each other.
“As a sister, watching them face this kind of loss is heartbreaking.
“They are strong, humble, hardworking people who never asked for much and always helped others whenever they could.
“Now they are the ones in need – and I’m doing everything I can to help them begin again.”
Mariola is asking for money to help cover the essentials like clothing food and temporary housing.
The GoFundMe target is set at £10,000 with almost £9,000 already raised thanks to generous donations from the community.
As well as cash, she is also hoping people can donate clothes, pyjamas and cosmetics.
She added: “Every small gesture, every pair of shoes, towel or pack of noodles is a brick that helps them return to life.”
“Together, we can make sure that this family doesn’t have to go through this hell alone, together, we can give them hope, a new beginning and a sense of not alone.”
