TWO major fund-raising events have been organised to boost Studley Community First Responders.
The emergency crews are often the first on the scene of any incident but are entirely self-funded and depend on the generous donations of local people to continue their lifesaving missions.
Now they desperately need to replace their ambulance car.
This Saturday, October 27 there’s an over 40s-ish Singles Night on a Halloween theme at Studley Sports and Social Club in Eldorado Close.
Organised by local resident Caroline Rogers fancy dress is optional and DJ Howie will be spinning the wheels of steel with some spooky stuff thrown in for good measure.
Tickets are £5 and are available from Willi’s Social of Studley and Studley Sports and Social Club or email Caroline at email@example.com.
The First Responders have also launched a 2019 Studley and Surrounding Area calendar with photographs supplied by local resident and camera enthusiast Dave Rawlings.
“It is a beautiful calendar that we are all very proud of and priced at £10 it would make a fantastic Christmas present to anyone near or far,” said Matt Fox from the group.
“Some have already been bought as far away as Ireland and Colorado.
“Studley Community First Responders desperately need a new ambulance car and we are all very grateful for everyone’s support so far.
“It is fantastic and humbling for so many people to get on board to help SCFR out at their time of need.
“With any luck, we should be able to replace this much-needed resource in the countdown to Christmas when it will be very much relied upon over winter.”
