SWAN Street in Alvechurch has been closed to traffic while engineers trace and fix a leak on a gas pipe.
Local gas network Cadent says it is not known how long the repair will take but every effort will be made to complete it as soon as possible.
It says access will be maintained to homes and businesses but traffic that normally uses Swan Street as a through route should follow the signed diversion via Redditch Road, A4441 Alvechurch Bypass, B4120, Birmingham Road and Red Lion Street.
