THE ‘Friends of Woodfield’ group have dipped into their pockets after some dedicated fundraising to buy the Studley Road academy a brand new minibus.
Delighted headteacher Steve Bond said: “The Friends of Woodfield are a small team, but they have been determined to provide us with funding to secure this ‘sweet ride’ – as described by our Year 7 basketball team, the first pupils to use the bus.
“We are very excited at the prospect of arriving to fixtures in a vehicle we can be proud of.”
A spokesperson for Friends of Woodfield said: “We are delighted that three years dedicated fund raising and support has resulted in the arrival of this superb asset for the school.”
