MAKE do and mend is fast becoming the watch word as the cost of living crisis continues to hit residents.
All the more reason then to pop in to Redditch’s Repair Cafe which is throwing open its doors at Community House tomorrow, Saturday, April 30.
The volunteer experts will be on hand ready to repair a range of goods from computers and electronics, to sewing, woodworking and sharpening.
There may even be someone there to fix your pushbike.
The process is simple – all the experts are volunteers and offer their services free of charge although donations are always welcome.
The cafe runs from 10am to 2pm with ‘last orders’ by 1pm, and being a cafe, there will be tea, coffee, biscuits and cake available.
Organisers would also be delighted to hear from another sewing volunteer who can help out once a month.
Community House can be found on Easemore Road and everyone is welcome to drop in.
