RESIDENTS and visitors to Redditch town centre can enjoy some festive entertainment at this year’s Christmas Lights Switch-On.
The council, Kingfisher Shopping Centre and the Town Centre Partnership are joining forces to give visitors a festive treat starting with a community parade at 3.30pm on Saturday, November 24, from the Town Hall featuring groups from across the borough.
From 4pm there will be performances by Redditch Community Gospel Choir who will be bringing the community together with lively gospel style music with genres ranging from jazz to rock. They will be followed by performer Mitch Loveridge before audiences are wowed by the talented students of The Theatre Workshop.
At 4.30pm Pinkberry Productions take to the stage with their ‘Very Pirate Panto’ which promises a mysterious map, a perilous plan and a boat-load of the unexpected!
LED Hula Hoopers will then light up the stage before lights get switched on at 5.30pm with special guest, Father Christmas.
