Ghostly goings on in Feckenham in latest Live & Local production

Redditch Editorial 2nd Dec, 2021   0

THE weather’s turned chilly….there’s a hint of snow in the air and mist hangs in a sinister cloud above the chimney tops.

It’s the time of year to huddle indoors with a hot toddy and talk of ghosts and things that go bump in the night…. And that’s exactly what’s on off at Feckenham Village Hall on Sunday, December 5.

Nicholas Collett and Gavin Robertson are bringing their internationally famous production of ‘A Ghost of a Smile’ to Feckenham.

The show, which features the spookiest tales of Charles Dickens, is guaranteed to send a shiver down the bravest of spines…but in a nice way.

Their performance has been described as “…like The Woman in Black…only funnier”.

This is a hair-raising show of storytelling and theatrical inventiveness… tales with a shiver – and a smile… yarns that will chill – and charm!

And to help ward off the ghostly shivers the management have arranged for a goodly supply of warming mulled wine to be made available during the performance for audience members.

‘A Ghost of a Smile’ is being brought to Redditch’s rural outpost by Live and Local – the county’s performing arts scheme – bringing Live Arts to your doorstep.

The performance is sponsored by Arts Council England, Worcestershire County Council and Redditch Borough Council.

It’s all happening at Feckenham Village Hall, with doors open at 7pm and curtain up at 7.30pm.

Plus there will be a licensed bar.

Tickets are £12 from the Village Shop and The Rose & Crown in Feckenham or book online at www.feckhall.org or by phone on 0333 666 3366
