A POLITICAL poster displayed above a golly doll has been removed after a complaint was made to police it was offensive.

West Mercia Police got involved after the UKIP poster was spotted with the doll in the window of a property in Farm Road in Redditch.

Sgt Neil Billingham, from Redditch police, said: “An officer from the Lodge Park and Greenlands Safer Neighbourhood team visited the address and, after speaking to the householder, was satisfied that no offence was intended. The items have been removed.”
