KIND-HEARTED staff and students at the town’s Tudor Grange Academy have raised almost £1,000 for charities across the town.
As part of their charity initiative transformation, the school has created a programme which aims to reach out to the most vulnerable in society.
On Thursday last week (February 11), pupils held a ‘Bake Off’ with a variety of colourful and rainbow-themed cakes they had prepared alongside Valentine’s Day cards and ceramic products.
The sale comes after youngsters raised £940 from the Academy’s first ever Christmas Fayre on December 16.
At the heart of the event was the importance of raising awareness of Asperger Support (ASPIES Worcester), Charlotte and Craigs Saving Hearts Foundation (formerly Redditch Heart Safe), and Acts of Kindness (Redditch Foodbank), as part of the schools commitment to local community outreach.
