A GRANT for £500 has been awarded to Studley Improvement Partnership (SIP) by the Parish Council.
SIP had originally applied for £225 to help pay for fruit trees to be given away free to residents of the village.
However such has been the demand the trees were snapped up my residents in days, prompting the organisation to ask for more.
The Council also gave a grant of £350 towards the cost of Studley Flower Show.
The show is a popular village fixture and all money raised from it goes to local charities.
