A RECYCLING campaign has been running throughout the week at Redditch’s Kingfisher Shopping Centre, writes Poppy Chambers.
The Great Big Green Week began on Saturday and concludes this Sunday, June 10 to 18.
It aims to encourage the use of reusable items with the national campaign intended to focus on the severity of climate change and the need for collective action to implement positive results for our surroundings.
Visitors have been given the opportunity to exchange single-use coffee cups or plastic bottles and replace them with a reusable Kingfisher coffee cups or water bottles.

Adrian Field, the centre’s general manager, said: “Knowing where to start with contributing to climate change can feel overwhelming at times.
“From the big to the small, to individual and collective efforts, ideas for how to improve environmental sustainability everywhere and anywhere.”
He added the engagement and commitment taken through these schemes will support the local community, encourage as many people as possible to get involved with Great Big Green Week and join their stance on protecting greenlands while combatting this global crisis.
