WOODRUSH high school’s sixth form students having been celebrating their A Level results, writes Eve Watson.
The school received a 100 per cent pass rate with almost 70 per cent of pupils achieving a grade of B or above.
A special mention for Lucy Freer, who achieved an AAB and will be studying Bioengineering at Loughborough, as well as Alexander Rousianos who received BBA* and is studying Law at Manchester university.
Another mention was given to Shannon Thompson-Parry who will attend Newcastle University to pursue Japanese studies with results of an AAB and distinction*, as well as Thomas Brown who will be studying History at Birmingham university with grades AAB.
A school spokesperson said they were is delighted so many students had secured their first-choice university place, apprenticeship position or employment.
