THREE people in Redditch are celebrating today after winning £1,000 each thanks to their lucky postcode.
The Laburnum Close neighbours in Southcrest netted the windfall when B98 7DX was announced as a daily prize winner with People’s Postcode Lottery today, Monday, September 7.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes to the winners.
She said: “What a lovely way to start your week! Congratulations to our winners, I hope they enjoy spending their winnings.”
A minimum of 32 per cent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £600million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
This draw was promoted on behalf of Clic Sargent which has received more than £10.9 million in funding thanks to players. The charity provides vital emotional, practical, financial and clinical support to young cancer patients and their families during and after treatment.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefited from players’ support, and local charities can apply for funding next year.
