Green Fair and Lions Fun Day all set to return to Arrow Valley Park

THE popular Green Fair and Lions Fun Day returns to Arrow Valley Countryside Park on Sunday, July 7.

A joint venture between Redditch Borough Council and Redditch Lions a host of attractions are promised including classic cars and Royal Enfield motorbikes, stock cars, new car display, an Army climbing wall, pony rides, bumper balls, children’s activities, craft stalls, face painting, bouncy castle, circus skills, birds of prey static and aerial displays, fire engine rides, turn table ladder fire engine and tug o’ war!

As in previous years, Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service, West Mercia Police and 37th Signal Regiment will all be attending with displays and demonstrations.

Opening the event at 11am will be the Theatre Workshop children’s choir and there will also be entertainment from local duo Imaner – two of the people behind the brilliant GlastonBeoley Festival – and top singer Lucy Williams with a repertoire of pop, rock, musical theatre, jazz and more.




Councillor Mike Rouse, whose portfolio covers leisure services, said: “We are very lucky because there are very few free events like this one on offer locally, and it is enjoyed by visitors from far and wide.

“I know my own daughters are already looking forward to an ice cream and a pony ride!”


Dave Beech from Redditch Lions, said: “We’re really glad to have teamed up with the borough council again to bring this fantastic event back to Arrow Valley. There’s going to be so much to do, you best get there early so you can enjoy it all!”

Admission is free and the event runs from 11am to 4.30pm.
