Green Fair chance to really showcase eco-friendly Redditch

Redditch Editorial 8th Mar, 2022   0

PLANS to make the ever-popular Green Fair and Lions’ Funday at Arrow Valley Park even more eco-friendly have been launched by the Borough Council.

The annual fun day, which is on July 17, will feature a new ‘Green Village’ and the council is offering stalls and space in this area for interested parties.

To support the authority’s declaration of a Climate Change Emergency, this year it is looking for local entrepreneurs, businesses, traders, groups, organisations, and hobbyists with a focus on the environment to showcase what they do and engage with the local community.

This includes, but is not limited to: Sustainable products, innovative technology, holistic and wellbeing lifestyles, creative approaches to zero emissions, food which doesn’t cost the earth and more,

“If your organisation, enterprise, or group has taken steps to reduce its carbon footprint, if you’re working towards a green agenda, or being eco-friendly is your passion and hobby, then we want to hear from you,” said Councillor Anthony Lovell, Redditch’s portfolio holder for climate change.

“We have a great eco community in Redditch and we want to help engage more people in this important conversation.

“Contact our team today to attend the Green Fair and Lions’ Fun Day and help make a difference.”

Anyone who is interested in having a stall at the event to showcase or engage the community should email the parks and events team at: [email protected].
