Redditch Editorial 31st Oct, 2025   0

THIS HALLOWEEN weekend, Redditch will see a 48-hour ‘Performathon’ record attempt, writes Taneesha Arora.

This will be hosted by a new charity-run live music, performance and creative community hub inside The Cave Redditch (next to Tenpin in the Kingfisher Centre).

It began at 12midday today (Friday, October 31) and will run until Sunday, November 2.

It is hoped this non-stop event will gain entry to the Guinness Book of Records for the longest continuous live arts performance.

Live music, comedy, spoken word, poetry, live art and painting, dance and performance art from a line-up of accomplished local artists including Daniel Preston, Spoz, Katie Victoria, Keith Kerans, Pixel Jack, Ben Adams, Danny Manic, Matt Green and more will feature.

This event has free admission but donations are welcome.

All proceeds will go towards fitting out The Cave Redditch.

There will be a licensed bar as well.

Palace Drum Clinic creative director, Matt Green, said: “This crazy event came from an idea to bringing the talented people of Redditch and the surrounding areas to the forthcoming new venue.

“There are some amazing creatives around here, and showcasing them in an event which potentially could be a Guinness World Record will help raise their profile and of Redditch too.

“The Cave is all about giving people of all ages a platform to showcase their talents and creativity in a supportive, inclusive, community-focused space.”
