A special event taking place on the day from 1pm to 4pm will feature live music from students and tutors, food from Bruno’s Bakery and drinks supplied by local business The Tap House.

Gwen Dickey from Rose Royce will be the special guest and an official ribbon cutting will take place at 3pm.

Those who go along will be able to take a look around the shop including Elite Escapes, book a music lesson and a holiday from your local business Elite Escapes.

Gumbley’s Music School was established in 2016.

As well as teaching drums, guitar, bass, piano and vocals – to people aged from four to 88 – the school also holds student band sessions.

Owner Jason Gumbley has been teaching and playing live music for eight years.

He said: “We believe that anyone of any age or ability can learn an instrument.

“We will soon be starting student band sessions where students can practise and perform together

“Our tutors will work with you to make lessons enjoyable and make sure you feel like you are progressing and learning.”
