A REDDITCH family stood strong in the fight against cancer when they took on a fund-raising challenge in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Debbie Hallam, her husband Simon and children Sophie and Poppie, from Church Hill, raised £700 from a family fun day as a thank you for the support they received from Macmillan and Primrose Hospice when a relative was diagnosed with cancer.
Debbie said: “It was a lot of hard work securing the prizes for the event but we were so well supported by local businesses when they knew it was for Macmillan.
“I’ve had so much fun raising money – we will definitely be holding another event next year.”
The family raffled off 30 prizes during the event at the Kingfisher centre, including restaurant meals, days out and shopping vouchers.
