RESIDENTS in Stratford district have given the local authority its highest ever satisfaction rating in its eighth biannual survey.
A questionnaire was sent to 5,000 randomly selected residents and 807 were returned in the time allowed.
These put the overall score for the council at 79.1 per cent, with the highest score of 86.6 per cent being collecteed for its refuse and recycling service.
The lowest performing area was planning, coming in at 69.9 per cent.
The top priorities for improvement are keeping promises and commitments (Planning), the cost of car parking, and the explanation of a decision made (Planning).
Councillor Chris Saint, leader of Stratford-on-Avon District Council says: ““The Council is grateful to all those residents who took the trouble to respond to our survey to provide us with such valuable feedback. We have modelled our service provisions on the feedback from past years. Using the Customer Satisfaction Index, we can continue to deliver what is important to our residents.”
